Shoemaker tradition since 1825 – our history began about 200 years ago, when Cyrus and James Clark made a pair of slippers from sheepskin scraps. Then this - an invention combined with high-quality craftsmanship - was a groundbreaking innovation. We have remained true to this ethos to this day. Even today, the design of a new model starts with the production of a shoe rack, which is cut by hand from a solid piece of wood. Moreover, innovative construction techniques, technologies and contemporary materials also fit into the design of our shoes, so that our designs are tailor-made for a modern world.
